840 Cal Poly Recreation Center
The Recreation Center is an important hub of student life at Cal Poly, providing facilities and programs for recreation and social interaction while promoting physical fitness and well-being. This state-of-the-art facility represents the result of a shared student and campus vision that primarily focuses on meeting the recreation and wellness needs of a growing campus community, as well as supporting activities for the Kinesiology and Athletics departments through shared facility resources.
The Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is the auxiliary organization responsible for the management and operation of the Recreation Center and operates in accordance with all applicable regulations and policies of the CSU Board of Trustees and the University. The Cal Poly Recreation Center is managed and operated by ASI as prescribed by an operating lease agreement between the Trustees of the CSU and ASI.
The policy-recommending body for the Recreation Center shall be the University Union Advisory Board (UUAB). UUAB will consider the best interests of the entire Cal Poly campus in decision-making. The University President’s directive regarding use of buildings and grounds is applicable to the Cal Poly Recreation Center and its adjoining grounds, in association with the Recreation Center Facility Policy.
Guidelines for operation and use of the Recreation Center facility are documented in the Recreation Center Facility Policy Manual.
