1000 Cal Poly Foundation

1000.1 Scope of Authority

The Cal Poly Foundation (Foundation) operates in support of the University pursuant to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations and Title 3 of the Education Code. The Foundation performs its functions under a written Master Operating Agreement on behalf of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees, executed by the Chancellor and the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Additional responsibilities and requirements are specified under CSU Executive Order 1059. Administrative services are provided by University and/or Cal Poly Corporation employees as outlined by formal Memorandums of Understanding. The University retains unto itself the authority to regulate all business transactions that are executed on its behalf or are executed in its name.

1000.2 Policies of the Cal Poly Foundation

The Cal Poly Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors that includes University leaders and operates under policies established by the Board of Directors. The Foundation’s policies can be found on its website.
